With June of 2006 on it's way, and the gt500 supposably hitting the floors my father plans on buying one... but if it goes over $40,000 my dad doesn't have an interest cause that's way to much. As of now he has a 2006 gt black on black. If the case which is stated above about the car being over 40 grand we'd like to turn his car into a sleeper. I was looking for the best parts as far as super chargers, cold air intake, tuners, pullys etc. In the end we are looking to have atleast 450 on tap, which I know is a daunting task. None the less if you don't mind just put somthing on the table and it's appreciated. Aslo if theres any Floridians out on the forums we are looking to find a decent mechanic or shop to install it all. My dad is not rich or shnobby it's just the last car he worked on was like 80 somthing transam and I think its better that neither of us have a try at the car. Thanks for taking the time to read.

For a nice sleeper, go the twin turbo route. There are plenty of shops in the Florida area so I'm sure some of those guys will chime in here soon.

Get the bottom end built and run a twin turbo setup.. make 600 rwhp and be happy. Probably cost around $15k out the door with all the stuff needed to support that much power, and have it installed. www.ModularPowerhouse.com is the place to go, best in the country IMO. They're just north of Atlanta in Marietta. Tim is the man, can set you up with a nice HP turbo kit.

Alternatively you could get away with about $5k and get around 400 flywheel horsepower pretty with a Vortech supercharger on an otherwise stock engine. Safe too, I recommend the Mongoose kit from ModularPowerhouse for that too.

Thanks alot man, your a huge help! It's all going to be taken into consideration, But does the mongoose kit support a 2006 gt? O looked an it only went up to 2004? and 400 is not bad especially if its on the safe side of things. Also I live in orlando Florida, and herd the heat can be bad on a turbo charger, is this true?

a nice low compression forged shortblock, h/c/i, and the twins w/fmic and it would be a blast.

i would go with exactly what this guy said....

as for turbos over heating or engine blowing... its not a problem if you have an inter-cooler, good tune, and right octane

also.... a new short block would help if using turbos.

over all... the stock crank is fine. you mainly need to change the rods and pistons (as for they will be the first to go bye bye when forced induction is added)

so if a new short block is to much... see about just changing the rods/pistons

With all the options given my dad decided he thinks in the highe 400 hp range would be to much on the stock engine. But with what you showed us we picked the favorites... so what I we want to do is go to someone in the Orlando Fl area that sells turbor's. super' or pro chargers, and in installs. We have a good idea from the links of some good stuff so we want to ask them what someone can do with out car to push it to the limit. So what i need lol is a location were I can find all this or figure out how to find a shop.

there's a guy over in Debray, FL named Justin Starkey that owns Velocity Mustang Performance (321-206-9369) who should be able to point you in the right direction when looking for a shop... might want to shoot them an e-mail
