WS-6 / SS Killer....


would only a CAI and Custom tune put u infront of a stock SS or WS-6... (02)....

Ive raced many and always lose in 3rd gear... whats the deal?

Are you talking at the drag strip or a street race? The f bodies will really shine in top-end. I can kill my buddies WS6 at the strip but wouldn't want to tangle with it above 100. They pull very hard up to 150.

ic ic, i was mostly talking about street.... a buddy of mine has a ws6 auto.... we ran and i lost by @ least a car and a half... im stock and so is he, hes a pretty shitty driver

ya but its fun watching his lead foot burn out way more than me... if i turn my TCS on i would probably have a better chance.... but thats just plain cheating.

really? besides those nasty hops i dont mind it so much.... i use it when im on a street that has shitty traction....or if i reallly want to piss someone off just launch with it and turn it off after 1st..... its fun, try it.

Yeah it hurts your times more then it helps them...When you start spining it robs your car of power...It throws you out of your powerband and will make you slower...I would never try to race someone with it on...You jsut ahve to learn the art of feathering the clutch and power control...

i suppose your right, its a bit of practice to feather the clutch right but im in the game! as for that ws-6, ill let you guys know how it works out with only cai/tuner... then ill do udp and mid pipes.....


so noone knows what the SS is doing on the 1/4?

I would say the WS6 auto would be good for a 13.1 - 13.4 stock...Dont quote me on that...

I guess theres some work ahead of me.... but whoknows maybe ill get better results with that cai/tuner than expeceted....

An SS (non-SLP modified) will do 13.9 at 107.3 this is the 325 horse 6 speed.
SLP's version had 345, like the Firehawk. This version will go mid 13s I do believe...

A close friend of mine's old man had a black WS6, with a manual transmission. Some guys make the mistake of thinking these cars are heavy, but they are actually a touch lighter than the latest Stangs.
These are 325 horse cars with 340 lb-ft of tq, and the reason a lot of guys beat these cars is because a lot of guys don't know how to launch these cars properly with a stick. Throw a sticky tire on this thing and it will run 12's as drgn said.

I agree with Zippee and ChrisJ. My bro in law has a 99 T/A. They are way underated. Stock to stock, he will get me everytime. We met a guy that had a 00 SS with CAI, Chip and exhuast and he was saying he had close to 400hp at the flywheel( I think he has more). I personally saw him take out multiple GT's and the 2 that amazed me were the Saleen and 04 Cobra he beat. I will give him credit, he could drive his ass off! We also went to a dyno day a yr ago with another freind that has a z06 vette and belongs to a car club. The club had all kinds of cars in it. The funny thing was, The T/A's were putting down as much HP as the Vettes were with very minimal bolt ons. Man all those Vette guys were pissed!!!
