1/4 mile times for Roush 427R

What kind of 1/4 mile times could I expect from my 07 Roush 427R? The dealer swears I should be in the 12's. Anybody got one and willing to share the times?

Can't be right. I pulled a 13.3 out of an 07 GT with an Intake, Tune, and Hurst shifter last night. Stock 18" tires.

If people aren't getting 12s out of those, there's something really wrong.

Or.....They must have built a dragstrip on the top of K2 and raced it there.

We then drove the 427R over to Mid-Michigan Motorplex in Stanton, MI to lay down some passes. Hampered by difficulties with wheelspin, our quickest attempt resulted in an elapsed time of 13.474 seconds at 106.79 MPH (a faster trap speed of 107.28 was recorded on a 13.551 pass).

Applying NHRA correction factors for weather - we calculated a density altitude of 1600 ft - to our quickest run yields 13.234@108.77

They just need some more seat time in it. That should hit 12s easy. I know that thing wouldn't be easy to launch on street tires though and I'm sure it would take me quite a few passes to get it down.

Willing to give it a try however

I recently ran a 11.36 @128mph with my new 427R(never made 5th gear)
I have already been in contact with Roush for new mods. They said they are currently developing a new set of pullys for an increase of 65-75 hp
i,m trying to find mods compatable with roushcharger system Do you know of any?

Common sense tells me that Ford and SVT is not going to let Rousch steal their thunder - the 427R is a hot car and is indeed fast, but the 1/4 mile times from the factory will be slower than the Shelby GT500. Ford and Jack Rousch work real closely together, and I'm sure that has been a topic of discussion.

These cars leave a lot to be desired. With a few minor mods, the Shelby can pump out 600+ HP and I'm sure the Rousch 427R could be at 500 HP + with a few minor mods. The problem is getting them to hook up after the mods.

The MRT Interceptor is running with both the 427R and the GT500. It also has the greenhouse glass roof! Check it out:

Is that 1/8 mile?
I don't think I have ever posted here.
But when I read those times I have to say the same "BULL".
I got a Kenne Bell on my 06 Mustang dynoed 456/433 and my best is 11.8@117
My brother has an 03 Cobra with 630rwhp and he runs 11.2@123
So I guess we can't drive
There is no way that car is going 11.3 unless it's totally stripped out or you got a lot more done to it.

guys, your altitude, temp, humidity, and DA all are BIG factors.
I live in the texas panhandle, our DA is usually at or above 6k.
My car runs a 13.2 (into a 35-40mph headwind that day, NOAA confirmed) at 6100DA.
Most people with my mods are in the mid 12s. Im about out of bolt ons, and ready to go into the motor for more power.
So, your times will vary depending on your location and alt/DA.

stock GTs around here run anywhere from 8.9 - 9.4 in the low 80mph range box stock ......which is good enough for 13.5 @ 100 mph pretty easily ....those cars with drag radials and decent shifting should be in the mid to high 12s , probably wont see it on stock tires though

the fastest someone has gone with stock motor and slicks was 13.2, so high 12's is out of the picture
