I will try to find you some sites. They average $200-225 each. They are not the cheapest tire in the world but they are great stuff.

This site has some of the best prices I have seen. Hope that helps. Of course if not, Jegs and/or Summit are great places because they get pretty deep voulme discounst so their prices will always be competitive.

Stangzilla, all DOT approved tires are street legal. That is the reasoning behind the DOT approval. A tire can't be DOT approved if it is not street legal. That is like posting a 55mph speed limit and writing speeding tickets to people for doing 45 mph. I've seen a video on the internet of someone pulled over and the cop giving him shit about having a drag radial and giving him a ticket. That will never hold up in court when you bring the tire in as evidence.

Thats not always true I know in NY cuz the wife is a cop those Mickey Thompson ET Streets which is a D.O.T. slick not the Mickey Thompson ET Street radials.. The ET Streets will get you ticket that will stick in court and there is a minimal by law amount of tread a tire must have and the Mickey Thompsons ET Streets do not meet those requirements The ET Street radial does.... Anyway who cares I cruise with my slicks on...
im a cop and i know theres no way i can issue a ticket for a DOT approved tire. If they are bald yes thats one thing, if the groves are gone and they are past the wear indicators, But new the ET Street tires DO meet the required tread depth and are 100% DOT approved.

Yes I know the "new" ET Street Drag Radials do have the required tread depth. I am talkin about the regular ET Street tires. They are not radials but thats not against the law but they have no where near the required tread depth. All they have are slits in the tire that look like they were done by a razor blade. Those are the ones I am talkin about..

Those are legal. Have you ever owned a pair? I ran them a couple years ago on two of my cars. They are not slits that look like they were done with a razor blade. There are some slits that are close to razor thin but there are also normal grooves toward the center. Tread depth is way legal on these until you burn them off.

Get the M/T et street radials. They are the very best dr out there. I abslutely love mine. P.S. I'll agree that you DO NOT want to get caught in the rain. I've been out 2 times in the rain and they are a wreck waiting to happen. Even taking a gentle turn, at aroung 30mph, I let off the gas and the back end was still trying to escape!

And for 97Cobra, send Crazylegs a P.M. He sells the M/T et dr's and at a far better price than what I paid here at a local shop. He will probably have the best prices you can find. Just send him a pm with the size you want and I'm sure he'll hook you up.
