Wheels and Tires

I now work at Discount Tire, and therefore plan to get some wheels and tires, and thought I would ask y'alls opinions.

18" Black Saleens (no rivets)
18x9 front with 255 40 18 BFG KDW (nt)
18x10 rear with 295 35 18 BFG Drag Radials (nt)

I might get two extra back wheels with a 295 35 18 BFG KDW for road trips.

They will be gloss black to match my stripes...Let me know what yall think!

since you are working there i'm sure you are getting a nice discount. you should get some stickys on the smallest diameter wheel possible for the track as the "extra" set. you'll love the bfg kdw's.....they are very sticky around the corners.....stick like glue. just not that great from a dig on the streets. also if you can get wider than the 10" for the rear get it. you can fit 10.5" on the 05+ and put a 315 on it rather than a 295

I'm running Goodrich gForce T/A's on Ford Racing FR500 18's.

These are great tires.

I drove Vettes for 10 years that always came stock with Eagles, which IMO are a huge rip-off.

I'm absolutely convinced that they super-soften the original equipment Eagles to ensure you'll be in sooner, rather than later, for replacements.

I typically ran out of the Eagles at about 10,000 miles.

I had a 96 LT4 that wore a set of Dunlop Z-rated. These were AWESOME tires but I'm just not sure they make 'em anymore.

Well, psyco, the thing is that I love the new tread pattern Drag radials, and they outperform the old style by a bit. The tires are also for looks, not just useage.
I am buying some m/t cheater slicks on bullitts from a friend for the track, so the Drag Radials will see minimal track useage, unless im just too lazy to switch them out.
Ill be getting two extra back wheels, and send them in to be widened to 11.5 or 12 inches, and put that fat 335 30 18 on them... its not a DR, its the BFG KDW new tread as well....

Ive been told the 05s will handle an 11.5" wheel nicely, with 12 being the max. And they do still make the Dunlops, the Sport 9000s are supposed to be good ones from them...

I am placing an order for a set of 275/40/18 Falken either the RT615's or the Azenis. Both series have the same or better traction in both dry and rain conditions than the Goodyears or the BFG's. And for the money you can't beat them.

ive got a pair of falkens on the rear, and they just squeal too much for me, as in a high pitched squeal. My friend has the 615's on his stage 3 roush, and likes them. Plus, I work at Discount Tire, so my price on the BFGs isnt too terribly bad...

I have 17x9's with 235/55f and 255/50r

and it looks kick ass. I'm still lowering the chassis about an inch, particularly the rear.

Rears are 17x9 with 255/50 Fusion

Wheels are the bullits from American Muscle.

Holy shit, I ordered the wrong rims. I just went back and checked the confirm email and the stock number was for the early models. Mine have a +24 offset, the 2005+ has a +45.

I accidently bought 4.2 cm of width. Can anyone tell me if this will be a problem in the long run?

Well, the 99-04 wheels will fit the car, but you may have some sticking out to deal with...contact the company ASAP, to fix your error is all I can say...
