I've owned my 06'GT now for a year, and I absolutely love this car. I'm not entirely sure how the Cyrystler 300 beat out the 05' GT for car of the year (MT). A year later and I still find the occasional uncontrolled giggling when I put the hammer down, I give her long lookbacks when I leave her in parking losts, and other men and women stare at my ride as I drive down the street. One of my favorite moments was pulling up next to some gangsters at a stop light and the rear passenger leaned out his window and exclaimed "Damn! Thats some cool shit!! My least favorite moment had to be a hit and run in a pool hall parking lot three days after i got the car causing $450 in damage to my rear bumper and right exhaust... I'm sure there are some great stories out there about Mustangs and the people who love them. Please share!

My favorite story was I was at a gas station and this old ford pickup with a dad and his daughter (roughly 6 years old) came strolling beside me. The dad goes "my daughter loves your ride, we did a U turn to come see it" with her giving me the thumbs up. Pricelss.

Worst.. Noticing some prick keyed my car 2 weeks after I got it.

hahhaha best moment i had was when i had a family party, and my cousin who is like 16 was like hey nice car.. but i was doin like 140 in my friends honda on da highway it was mad phat it would blow dis shit away (he thinks hes black).. So i took him and his girlfriend for a ride, when i nailed it and the car was sideways burning rubber his jaw dropped and he goes " YO COUSIN JAMES CHILL SON CHILL SON I FEEL LIKE IM IN GRAND THEFT AUTO" and then he was like yo i dont think any of my friends got anything that could beat this shit

Worst moment... had to drive throughsevere rain that caused the streets to get muddy (driving throught a backroad) 2 days after I washed it to go play a Softball game that got cancelled due to rain... My car was brown, literally

I have not had my GT for long, loved it the first time I lit the wheels up pulling away, love the turning heads as I go by and of course I cant help looking back at it as I walk away!!!!!!!!!

Lets see, best moment: when I picked the car up at the dealer. It was the first '06 they deliverd in Vista Blue with the 18" 5 spokes. Everybody at the dealership thanked me for ordering the car. Seems as though they parked it in a rather high profile location on the lot and it brought in more customers in a day than they had the previous 2 weeks!
Worst moment: 2 weeks later when I got my very first speeding ticket after almost 25 years of driving. 95 in a 55 zone (ouch).

Best: I pulled the car out of the dealership after having the first round of mods done (scoop, CAI and handling package) and at the first stoplight a block away, a van pulled up on my side. The side door openes...(I'm thinkin' Oh S#$%! carjacking! ) But this older guy riding in the back of the van leans out and says: "Nice job! That is a beautiful car.".

Worst: Just saw that I've done some damage to the underside of my front bumper fascia due to a hangup on one of those tire-stops in a parking lot. (Wish my lowering had been 2" instead of 2.5" now.) :-)

Best: i just got my 1964 1/2 out and running and i was at a stop sign on some back roads and directly across from me were a few people playin football and one guy yells "HEY DUDE NICE CAR" so then i gave them a thumbs up and did a huge burnout through the stop sign and then just floored it down the road

Favorite moment: This week on the way home from work there was a police cjeck point setup checking license and stuff. When I pulled up they asked me to pull over to the side of the road and pop the hood so they could check it out!

Best, I was stopped at a stoplight with my g/f in the car. There's a car full of "gangstas" beside me in a pimped out Lexus. All the windows roll down, and I'm like "Oh, shit!" They all lean out the windows, and the guy in the back says "That is the hottest fu(king Mustang I've ever seen...IN MY LIFE!"

Or maybe the other day when I walked out of Target with my g/f and there was a man and what I assumed to be his daughter just walking circles around my car.

Or maybe the same day as the first story, when I was getting gas, some guy rolls around the pumps in a 300C and says "I love that car man, nice job. How much did those tires cost?!"

Or maybe the other day when I was leaving work, and I pulled out, and suddenly there was a Suburban barreling down on top of me. I punched it, the ass end slid to the left, the tires just smoked, never made a noise, then they caught and I was GONE! Good times!

Bad times? When I found a chip on my hood!!!

Best: The day I picked it up... Three larger than normal guys standing around it as I get out of the GT and walk twords it.... One of em' says "you the owner?", "Yep", "Do you have some ID!!" LOL!!!

Or when I'm driving down the road and a car will pull next to me with their camera phone taking pictures!!!

Worst: The day I put the Long Tubes on!!!

I just thought of another one... The first real road trip I took was from Houston to Chicago for my bachelor party. I got a good caffiene buzz going and drove straight through solo. I was having so much fun in my car that I was actually dissapointed when I arrived at my destination 19 hours later. I wished had been headed to Green Bay...

Best: Came up to a T-intersection where some construction was going on near the intersection. One of the guys was pointing and when I made eye contact, he gave me the "strong arm" signal to floor it. I took off spinning through 1st and barking 2nd...

Worst: 2 Jack Russells chased a cat that jumped on my car for refuge. They scratched and BIT my fenders AND hood. The BITES were so deep that the fender above the wheel was DENTED! Luckily, I didn't kill the dogs (my neighbor is my pastor) and a friend who sales paint donated the paint. One of his friends repaired everything for only $250.

Worst Mustang moment? Selling my 1969 Shelby GT 500. I had saved my hard-earned cash and bought it used in 1976; polished it so much I wore the paint thin. Shortly thereafter my company promoted me and gave me a company car--a 1977 Ford station wagon--that I had to drive. I tried to get my wife to drive it but she didn't like it because the 2 kids' car seats didn't fit right. I sold it and cried for a month

I remember one of my worst... when I scratched my 2 right side wheels with a small cement wall (about 3" high) on a exit to the main road... waht pisses me of the most about it, is that is serves no purpouse except for scratching wheels cause there are a lot of scratches on it second time I went by it.

Best:
After having my new wheels put on. I got the 17x9 black bullits from American Racing. When the car was put back on the garage floor I was grinning ear to ear. The car looked like it was dying to run something down. The higher profile of the 255/50's just added to the massive look.

I've since learned that when I talked to American muscle to pick another wheel color (the website took my order but actually they were out of Anthracite for the 05) I neglected to confirm that the new wheels were ok for the 05 and they sent me the +24 offset rather than the +45. I love them so I'm not sending them back. I got lucky.

Worst: Hadn't had the new wheels for a week when I hit a piece of cement on the freeway at 60. I went back to the shop. They put it on the lift but we couldn't find any damage at all. lucky again.

Best moment: A friend of mine is a volunteer fire fighter and one of his fellow fireman bought a hyundai tiburon and swore up and down it was faster than a mustang, so i asked him to prove it, and when he realized I had one in the parking lot, he suddenly lost interest.

Worst moment: showing off for a girl in my 1990 5.0 when I was 21 years old and lost it hitting 3rd gear and went into a ditch.
