Brenspeed or Bamachips for cusom tune??

So my CEL did come on after a little driving with the o/r h. So now I'm going to get either Brenspeed to mail me a custom tune or Bamachips. Let me know if you guys have either and how the difference was from the canned SCT tune. Also my XCAL 2 is a Strategy Flasher not the basic XCAL 2. By getting a custom tune I lose the extras that I have now. HELP

Personally I have no experience with a tuner, but I have heard nothing but good from bamachips.com. I like how they allow you your 3 tunes the way you want them ex. 93 torque, 93 horsepower,93 race. I think that when you order, and you tell them what you have done it will be much better than just a canned SCT tune. They can adjust for your secific set up and wen you do more mods, just shoot them a message and they will send you a new tunes for only like 100 bucks. Also since you already have the handheld if you get a USB cable like you will need, I believe that you can take off the tunes you have now and save them on to your computer. I might be wrong on this, but ethier tuner should do an excellent job for you, but I would go with bama because they are the best from what I have heard.

yea def doug @ bamachips. he will give you 3 tunes (race, performance, torque) you can plug and play with @ anytime to get the car the way you want it.

vs brent @ brenspeed will only give you one performance tune

Both are top tuners and you will probably have no problem with either... personally i'd go with brenspeed. everytime u buy a mod from them u get a new tune in ur email.... i thought that was sweet.

these are not custom tunes... they are near custom... they only way to get a custom tune you need to go to a dyno shop and they'd tune it there..

The actuall tune! Then you put it on your handheld via a USB cable and then you plug it into your car.

no, simply call them up, tell them your newest mod to your car and they will recreate a tune with the new mod and email you the tune FREE! all you do is uploadig it into the xcal and then into your vehicle

if you have a SCT xcalibrator, they send the tune in a file format that is compatable with SCT software. simply plug in your xcal to the computer and drag and click the tune to your xcal2 using the SCT software. afterwards, plug the xcal into your vehicle and upload the tune.

if you do not have an SCT xcalibrator, they will preload the tune(s) into the xcalibrator ready to go. once you receive it, simply plug it into your vehicle and upload the tune!

simple and easy!

Great question I never even thought of that! I run mac aswell, but I have an Intel that I installed windows on as well. I would like to see it being Mac compatiable cuz I absolutly hate windows!

i dont think you could go wrong with either tuner. both are awesome to speak with. i have the C&L racer and all three 93 tunes from doug @ bamachips and i am very satisfied. i have an auto and i love the way it shifts now. even the wife likes the way the car feels now. (wonder what she will say if i throw a whipple or hellion in the mix). one reason i went with doug is because of elevations for tuning. bamachips is a lot closer to my elevation than brents shop. i still need to take my car and put it on the dyno ,but call me lazy.
