doesn't matter these will probably be sold before they are built. never see the showroom floor. wait two years and buy one for 35g's with 5,000 miles.

The guys that buy these cars won't be selling them. With only 1000 units produced, they'll be worth some big bucks down the road.

I'm first on the list if my dealer gets one. MSRP will be around 60k and by production, it will be 600hp. This will be a nice sunday driver!!!

Lets hope it weights less than the GT500... I still would absolutly kill to have one.

Yep, the hood is awesome... I want to buy a similar one for my GT.

Even if it is still 4000 lbs....anything with over 500 horse from the factory that runs 12's right out of the box is astounding.

True... but 4000 pounds is still 4000 pounds... I would hope they try to reduce the weight a little, to at least 3600, that should help a lot.

Dude. 12 seconds from a factory stock car. Think about that. Then think about the fact that with a few grand of mods you can have a car that puts 600 horse to the wheels. For me, lightening the car would not be a big problem. There are lots of ways to do that.

yeah.... but a s/c on our GT's would be cheaper and be faster cause no way in hell can a s/c weight 400 pounds...

I can criticize cars I can't own and can make the good out of what I have... let me dream man... lol

I still wish I had 500 horses... that would be extremely nice.

lol sort of true. It would make our cars faster, but not necessarily faster than the GT500. With a pulley change, a tune, and an exhaust, the GT500 will run 600 horse all day long, where our cars are iffy after about 450 horse unless you upgrade the bottom end.

I have all those mods - without the supercharger. Does that mean I am a MUSTANG GTKR ?

(Dearborn, Michigan) TheGT500Source - The big news out of Dearborn and Las Vegas today was that, after a forty-year absence, the Shelby GT500KR will return as a 2008 model. The new "King of the Road" will feature a 5.4L engine producing an estimated 540 horses. While that's an increase of 40 horsepower over the 2007 GT500, that 540 figure is only an estimated number. You can definitely look forward to that number going further north.

According to sources, we've learned that Shelby is working on, yes, an ever-nastier version of the 2007 GT500 / 2008 GT500KR. The yet to be named GT500xx variant will feature a twin screw blower that will pack a punch as powerful as Shelby's Texas Chili. In fact, a 600+ horsepower GT500xx might be an under statement. Now that's a spicy bowl of chili.
