For those with S/C's how do you afford it?
Do you guys really have the cash to get one and get it installed or do you do some kind of financing? Its not everyday a person can fork over 8 - 10 grand to get a s/c put in. So how do you guys do it?

8-10 is waaaay high. 3-7k is more accurate. you can look at mid 3's for pro-charger. Some get loans, some use the year end bonus. I blew my last year end bonus on the huge downpayment on my 07 and 2 or so mods i put in. Next Jan I'll use it for a Saleen SC. Its a hobby like anything else. Everyone needs a hobby. It is healthy. good luck

Do you watch the deadliest catch on discovery chanel. Thats what I do, been doing it for 29 years. I put a pic of my boat in my garage, after fishing for that long you realize that life is short. The car is a toy and fun to drive, It seems the older you get the harder it is to have fun so for now the car is my happyness.......JM

Nice boat McMillin. I have been watching Deadliest Catch for a couple of seasons. Very interesting and challenging profession you have.
I throw a bit of money back each payday. I also buy and sell parts here and there to fuel my habit. Right now, I have about $500 owed to me. I always collect, it just takes a little time. I don't push unless I need the money. I will be going collecting next week as I have a dyno tune scheduled on the 27th.

I guess Im lucky...Ive got Zero dept, am not married, and have no kids (that I know of).
Ive always been able to buy the toys I wanted with a little saving up and cost cutting. My thinking has always been "if you have to finance it, you cant afford it to begin with". (excluding home purchases of course)
