I have the Magnaflow axle backs and love them. I got mine from Brothers Performance. They have about the best price on the Magnaflow systems.

I'd go with Bassani. I have the Maganflows and I wasn't impresed with the fit. Had to adjust the hangers considerably to get the system to hang right. Sound is great. I have the aggressive tone mufflers which are defintely louder than stock.

I love the sound of the magnapacks (not to loud, juuust right) but they were a royal pain to put on. The hangers were off and one of the pipes had a ding in it in just the wrong spot. Major pain in the butt to put on. If you get them it's probably worth the money to have someone else go through the pain of hanging them....

If your still on the fence then check out the FRPP/Borla Stingers. Plenty loud and a nice deep tone.

I have the Bassani "race" axle back. I really like the sound, not to loud at cruising speeds @ 75 MPH I can carry a conversation at normal levels, but @ WOT it gets loud.

I have bassani bx axle backs and i just LOVE 'em. Very nice tone at low rpms and cruising speeds and sounds awesome at WOT. I dont know about the race bassani's as i have not heard a comparison clip. I did quite a bit of research before getting my axle backs and they have not been a let down.
So if you want a good sound, bassani is the way to go. Atleast thats what i think. Last edited by PaperCross; March 13th, 2008 at 12:59 AM. |
