switching trans.


i got my 2006 gt as a gift for my birthday...and when i got it i didnt really think to tel my mom to get me stick...thats my fault....but i wanted to know id there anyway you can switch auto trans to stick...i would make it a 6 speed with a viper trans...but can you do it

If you wanna race the car at the track your better off with the auto.

You'll be more consistent unless your real good at stick.

Having a 5 speed can suck in traffic, especially in NJ during the summer.

Funny I saw this post. I have asked this question before also, with no answers. You can do it and I only found one place that sells a kit for it. http://ddperformance.com/ It will set you back about $5300.00. I think you still will need to buy the clutch and new shifter + the install. I have been wanting to do this also. Now I think the 6sp will have to wait awhile.
