First time to the dragstrip....
I am taking my 07 GT to the 1/4 mile track tonight in Cecil County MD. Any predictions on what ill run. Let's see who guesses the closest.
Here is what i got, 2007 GT 5 spd, K&N 69 series cold air, Pypes axle backs. Any last minute reccomendations would help too, since this will be alot different than when i raced my 90 LX 5.0 that was built.

I figure the person with the closest guess will receive a huge box of absolutely nothing, with a complimentary smile for knowing they guessed the closest.

well since we dont know how well you drive.
if your a good driver, I would say 13.7 if not, 14.0+ its not all about what mods you have, its how you handle your car |

Take any excess weight out of the car. Sub box, spare tire, jack, etc. Kill the traction control. Heat the tires up, but not too much, street radials don't need to get fried like drag radials or slicks. Depending how sticky the track is, launch her around 2500 - 3000 rpm. If you're brave, power shift her just as it is about to hit the rev limiter. You can try a power shift on the 2 - 3 if you're brave, but the factory shifter can be bitchy about that. If you have an after market shifter, all the better.

Thanks, i know radials dont need much except to get the surface heated. i will probably just do a drop in 1st gear to turn them over a bit. all weight is out already, and to be safe i checked all my exhaust bolts and intake clamps.
thanks for the help though.

Have fun blasting down the track.
Should run a solid high 13 if the track is right & you don't spill your beer when shifting. lol
