I received both exhaust and programmer on wednesday. I immediately installed the programmmer with the K&N CAI 91 octane program that came on it. There was a noticable increase in power and smoothness of operation but what had to be the best improvement was the lack of throttle lag that the car has stock. It has a more right now feel when you modulate the throttle making even around town driving much easier and more pleasurable. I also changed the fan temps to kick on sooner and raised the rev limiter a little. When I get the car to a dyno I'll have the spark timing and WOT adjustments made for a more custom and better performing tune. As for the exhaust, the sound was everything I was hoping for. With all these axle back kits consisting mostly of flow through style mufflers I think the more educated ear will appreciate the sound of a good chambered muffler design. To each his own though, because I realize the popularity the other styles have, I guess I'm just a little old fashioned. Installing those only makes me want my longtube headers that much sooner but I've got other financial responsiblities first. One note on the install of the exhaust, I had to go back a couple days later to re-tighten down the clamps. I guess after some expanding and contracting they worked themselves loose and I havent experienced it since. I'm holding off on gettin them welded cuz I'll be replacing the over axle pipes when I do the headers. And one more thing, my track got rained out saturday night so I was unable to see what gains I might have picked up, but expect a post by thursday on what they are. Ok Ok, one more thing I think I should throw out, I've been doing all my shopping with
www.lmperformance.com whose customer service has been AWESOME. Just to let yall know.
