Noob question

I think 3.55 gears come stock on a 2006 GT (correct me if I'm wrong). I bought a new 2006 GT that came with 18" rims and am wondering if the gears would be different. Would that matter?

If it's a manual shift, it came with 3:55s....just like mine did.

Manual GT is 3.55s. http://www.moddedmustangs.com/2006-f...and-specs.html <-- clicky. my ride is an automatic and i think its 3.31s...gonna get 3.73s sometime in the future. But to answer your question, it doesnt matter if you're happy with it, but you could always upgarde to 3.73s or 4.10s

Thanks, guys. That's what I thought. I am going to do my first upgrade to 3.73s.

yes, 3.55 standard on 06 for manual tranny. On 07 it is a 100$ option.
