Bama or Brenspeed ?
This board give a lot of, no doubt well deserved, credit to Doug at Bama. Not much is said about Brent at Brenspeed and his tunes. They both use X-Calibrator 2 tuners and add their own tunes.
I've added some mods and now I'm ready to add a CAI & tuner package. I've decided on the C&L Steet CAI and just need to figure out where I want to buy the package. Has anyone had experience with both companies to make a qualified comparisson between them ? Thanks in advance for your experienced guidance. 2006 GT Convertible |

i've used bamachips. doug does awsome work. both companies will give you free tunes for future mods if you buy the tuner from them. i can't say how good brent is as like most others i have only purchased from doug. just to make sure you know. you could get the JLT CAI and save about $75. it gives the same gains as the C&L.

I dont think you can go wrong with either shop. There is a lot of good things about the two. Just go to other forums and read their comments. I have talk with Brent over the phone about his Hellion kit and he took his time and answered every question i had and faxed me some info. One of the reasons I chose Doug was elevation for fuel. Brents shop is about 1K higher than where i am.
I ordered the C&L racer and all 93 tunes. I want more. LOL. |

I got my Xcal 2 tunes from Bamachips. Doug did a awesome job on the tunes. I dont know about Brenspeed, as i have not bought anything from them. But i have not read anything bad about them anywhere and i am sure they have great tunes.
Brenspeed has a cheaper price compared to Bamachips (about $20), but i decided to go with Bamachips because of the good feedback i got from everyone. In the end good customer relations is what keeps the business good. I guess thats what it boils down to. I am not saying Brenspeed has bad customer relations but i just read about Bamachips more. |

I didn't even think about elevation. I live in Calgary which is in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The elevation here is 3,557 ft (1,084 m) above sea level. I'll ask both Brent and Doug if they adjust their tunes accordingly. |

bama will give you lifetime tunes for any mods, brenspeed will only give new tunes for mods purchased from them...
