snow performance boost cooler
snowperformance.net
anybody out there running a boost cooler on supercharged gt? i was wondering how this works w/ stock tuning or if this needs a custom tune. the quoted hp and tq. #s are impressive for $300 and seem like a win- win, cooler intake temps and more hp.,tq. |

Let me know what you find out. I was looking at NOS but that seems like a safer, cheaper bet.

It makes more power by giving you cooler temps...The car pulls less timing...
I know a couple people that have run them...They like them but if you run out of the mix and you are in boost it can cause some issues... I prefer just to run and intercooler...I picked my frontmount with piping up for $400 shipped...I ahve seen people build complete front mount kits for under $500 easily...Its nice to always have it there... |

Like detonation if you are expecting for it to work and you up the boost thinking it will help and then it doesnt...It can grenade the engine...Its personal error though...You ahve to keep a check on the level of the mixture in the resevior...
Yes you can run a front mount on a centrifrigal blower...Many people do it and I ahve one myself I just need to install it... A roots or twinscrew will have a heat exchanger... |
