BASSANI 46055 RACE AXLE BACK Feedback.......

I was looking to get this to add to my 2006 GT Mustang. If you know much about it or have any feedback or advice on if it is worth it or not, let me know. Thanks a ton.

from what ive read, it ties for the most HP gain of any axleback, at 13 hp...idk about the sound, never heard one in person, but Bassani makes a quality product...

13HP??? On an axleback?? no way.....

every axle back has been dyno'd @ 5HP max.....

and besides, the most your doing with axle backs is changing the sound.

the only parts of the exhaust your going to gain power is going with an Off-road Mid Pipe or long tube headers

As far as the sound goes...its very throaty and deep...i love that sound...but you do hear a bit of drone...not so much that it bothers you though...

I agree that there is no way you'll be getting 13hp from an axel back. But you can get plenty of horse with catalytic converters on your car. True no where near as much as you would with an off road setup or LT's but a new midpipe with better flowing cats will give you enough gains to notice.

MAv, believe what you want, but i have read an article that took the new axlebacks, and dyno tested 8 or 10 of them.

Bassanis Race and the Borla came out with 13 rwhp i believe (i remember the Bassani foir their square/rectangle look),
then there were 1 or 2 at 10, then most set around 6-8hp...

If you want, SHOW ME PROOF, maverick on what you claim...id like to see that every single axleback for the 05+ GT ONLY puts out 5hp...thats pretty funny considering the only low flowing area of the exhaust on the 05+ is the axlebacks. Ill research my article, and post the link...BUT i believe i read it in mustangs and fast fords...

I doesn't require anything special....just take off your stock mufflers with the hangers...remove tha hangers from the stock exhaust and put it on the new ones and bolt 'em up to the pipe using the clamp provided. I have the same axle-backs....but it was a bich to get the rear hangers out tho...
