I'm thinking about getting the FRPP (Whipple 500hp) supercharger. I have done extensive research and found where neither Ford nor Ford Racing says that anything has to be done the engine. There is a warranty from both Ford and FRPP. Should the engine be forged with this setup?

the kit is rating it at flywheel horsepower. the motor is said to be good to 450 rear wheel horsepower which is roughly 530 at flywheel. the tune they send with them keeps it very safe to also protect the motor. anything over 450 rwhp it is rocommended to build the bottom end. the warrenty also depends on the dealership it is installed at. (FROM WHAT I HEARD ON HERE___ I HAVE KENNE BELL SO I HAVE NO WARRENTY)

its actually not 500HP, its 475, Ford Racing exagerated a little bit on that. Its 10PSI pushing 475 to the rear with a very very conservative and safe tune with the stock internals in mind. I have the H.O. intercooled kit and LOVE IT! Yes You do not need to do anything to the car or put forged internals in. Its all good, you get everything you need plus the tune, I'm very pleased with mine and going on 5,000 miles with min with 0 problems!! just pure beastly performance!

If you know someone at a ford dealer, talk to them, cause they might warranty the kit if you get it installed by them!
