Debate, help me!

I have a new 07 GT Mustang and want to get it really quick. It had 3.31 gears in it and I am having Ford put a 4.10 in it this week.

I talked to a professional supercharger installer and tuner today and he can have a whipple HO kit put in for $8 grand and that is including the kit, custom dyno tune, install, shipping, and all taxes...

I am wondering if I should go for it or just get a tuner and do some other bolt ons and get it dyno tuned...

What do these 07 GT mustangs put down at the rear with exhaust, intake, tuner, and a custom tune?

Go for the S/C you might need to drop a lower gear back in it.

The stock hp is 300bhp, I don't think that's at the rear wheels though, that would be about 20% less or so. The exhaust, intake and tune probably easily add about 50hp. Add the s/c and it's another 100 at least. Youre gonna want to go with 3.73 gears with a s/c unless you have an automatic ( I don't know why you would ) then you probably want to keep the 4.10's.

3.55's or 3.73's are idea with a S/C. You're going to have a lot of trouble hooking up with a twin screw whipple and 4.10's. If you're going to do the install of the S/C, then leave the gears alone.

If you decide to go with the 4.10's, a tune, a cold air intake, and an exhaust, expect around 340 - 350 hp at the flywheel. With an automatic, subtract 15 - 20% to get your RWHP and with a manual, subtract 12 - 15% for your RWHP.

With 4.10's and the bolt-ons mentioned above, your car will be much quicker and responsive. It will make a noticeable difference. As you know, the S/C would make a lot bigger difference than the gears and the bolt-ons.

It boils down to one thing ... How much money are you willing to spend? The faster you want to go, and the more HP you want to make - equals the more you spend.
