tuning??

Hey i am new with mustangs, I drove a WRX before hand and i remember you had to tune the SOB everytime added something even if it was a simple as an intake. i seen on the market that there are some intake for the mustang that need tuning and some that dont i.e. AEM, BBK. would anyone recomend either one of those or should i buy a tuner first then get the intake? i put SLP loud mouths on but thats it and i was looking into getting 3.73 gears but i heard you need to tune your car for them, is that true?

I personally went with the Airaid intake. It works without a tune, Although I would recommend getting a tuner. I just got mine on Friday, and it's well worth the money. Speak to Doug at www.bamachips.com . He will set up custom tunes for you, and the man knows his stuff.

Ya, Doug has some great packages too that combine the tuner with a cold air intake, great deal. I don't have them personally, but dozens of guys on here do and swear by him. I'm going to go with him when I get the cash together, getting my car on tuesday, so I don't have much experience. Also, if you buy from Doug, he will email you a new tune for FREE for any minor mods you get for your car if you buy one of these packages from him, by minor I mean pretty much anything other than a turbo/super charger or Nitros. Hope this helps! welcome to MM!

I'd recommend the SNIPER tuner. The SCT tuner has to come pre-flashed. You can get different tunes from the guys at SNIPER. But you can modify the tunes with SNIPER...that's what I love about it. But that's just my opinion. A lot of guys on here are SCT II fans.
