If you have an automatic tranny then you will definatly need an impact gun because if you use a regular wrench then it will only turn over the engine. Also you will need a 3 prong puller to get the balancer off the crank. Ive heard from a few guys on here pulling it off with regular tools but i dont recommend doing this because any damage caused by thsi could be costly. I had a local perfromance shop do mine for a $100 bux. It was worth that pain and time by doing it myself. The underivepullies made a world of difference and I love them.

If you really wanna wake the car up go with 4.10 rear and a custom 93 octane tune and C&L intake. underpullies do not help a whole lot, like 3 rwhp... also get them to remove the restrictor plates and you should be in a completly different animal! These 3v 4.6 motors Ford puts out are soooo detuned from the factory, they should be 330hp motors from the factory

I had 3.31 when I bought the car, now I am so glad I went 4.10!!! but I have 20" Foose wheels in Toyo's so it is prob. more like having a 3.73...
I am also going turbo soon, I think I might order the Hellion 8-9psi kit beginning of next week... cant wait! dynospeedracing said they can have it installed and tuned in 2 days after they get it ![]() Here are the delete/restrictor plates you need http://rpmoutlet.com/05gtkbp.htm#1 |

i dont like the routing of their kit.. look at the HP kit or the turbo horse power.. those 2 r jet hot coated.. also powerhouse is nice as well.. im stuck between going twins or choosin a single kit from hp or THP.
and im currently investigating thing spooling myth it seems 3.31s work better... from wat im readin.. |

well the 3.31 with turbos mean you will be in your power range longer but I dont think it will get you down the track any faster. A turbo mustang with 4.10's will beat a turbo mustang with 3.31's down the track if both have equal traction...
Yea the hellion kit has alot of wierd exhaust routing but my dyno guy said if you go turbo, go hellion! He has installed every kind of supercharger and turbocharger there is and he has been doing it since the ealy 1990's so he is kinda the god of forced induction mustangs... |

I installed my steeda UDP's last week. It took about and hour and a half, the first hour was spent scratching my head cuz the Hobby shops pullers were all too big, then I just went a got a pry bar and had the old crank pulley off in 5 minutes. I would never recommend it but it certainly did the job without any ill effects. I also had to cut down one of the alternator mounting bolts, eben tho the kit comes with a replacement the difference in manufacturing I guess caused that. Other than that they are a great easy upgrade, you'll rev faster and smoother, I love it when you install something thats higher quality than OEM.

did you need to retune your car after the UDP's?

sean you dont have to retune it but if you get them you can call bamachips and have them make custom tunes for the mods you have so you get the most out of them.
