FRPP CAI, Tune and GTA' Exhaust: Mileage Impact?

If I install a FRPP CAI with tune and GTA's, will I need to run higher octane fuel (run 89 octane now) and what kind of impact will it have on my mileage?

I get 275-325 miles per tank now. Have been planning for this mod but if the mileage impact is similar to a Whipple I May just drop one of those in at a later date after I have the $$.

Thanks!
John

I have that package. I love it. according to the info center on the car I have improved gas mileage by about 2 miles a gallon. But I deffinatley drive the car harder than I was. I like hearing the exhaust so I cruise at higher rpms. I know I could get a lot better mileage. it says im gettin 21 now it did say 19 before.

Yes you have to run 91+ I run 93.

CAI, exhaust etc...

Another newbie here...have a ton of questions, but specific to exhaust, I started out with the "5GT" mufflers. Did I put more on than I needed if my goal is 300 or so rwhp. Was lookin for a some more throat, but do have that interior drone when you get on it at lower rpms. Would the GTA's eliminate that? Also looking for experenced guidance on bumping performance with certain limitations, but will seek counsel when it's not 1 a.m. Thanks in advance!

Well i dont have any drone with the gta's. I dont think they are quite as loud as the 5gt's. Not sure. I love the way they sound though, get a lot of compliments and I dont think its any difference is gain in horespower between the two, but dont know.

Axlebacks are strictly a sound preference, dont expect to gain any horsepower

Thanks to all for quick response! It was late when I posted and I really do get that the direct hp impact is minimal. The right sound and enough muffler to support end game hp is my goal. Looks like someone else will own these 5's pretty soon.

On another subject, not real interested in adding 10% to the cost of fuel for a ride that performs as nice as this one does on 87. But, assuming I can keep your foot out of it except when necessary, is there a reasonable expectation of a offset in mpg to tune this 4.6 for premium? Also, opinions on what mods that do not require premium retune give the most roi are solicited. Tryin to push the learning curve up a bit.
