Several Serious Questions for serious Stangers

hey heveryone. Haven't been on for a while. So I gotta catch up. I have several questions that have stumped me. So... here we go.

First off...I've decided that one of the first, if not THE first thing I do to my stang is to lower it. I know that I need not only the springs but also an adjustable Panhard bar. I read on the forums that those two, and an alignment will be fine. Is this true? Or will I have to invest in the BMR Lowering Kit?

I was also thinking, that if/when I do lower the car, I was gonna drop the front 2" and leave the back stock, or drop it 1.5". To give it a slight Nose-down look.

Second. i have every intention of buying Hooker's LT headers, and the Cherrybomb Extreme mufflers. i was thinking of buying the two, (no x/h-pipe), taking them to a muffler shop, and having them install the two, along with custom tubing, etc. and have the exhaust dump infront of the rear wheels, with a nice slash cut.

Which brings me to number Three. If i have a side exhaust...then I have 2 empty cut-outs in my bumbper. LAME. Has anyone seen an OEM bumper that has NO cut-outs?

And lastely...
I had always planned on going, C&L racer intake & tune from Bamachips first, 4.10's second, JPC racing Stall, Full exhaust, cams. In that order. But i happened to look through mm&ff and see an add for Coast High Performance and see that their Stroker kit for the S197 Gt starting at $1312. I have roughly $900 saved up for mods, and by the time I get the car...hopefully closer to $1200+. Should i go ahead and stroke the motor now since i have the cash on hand? Or just do my bolt-on thing and save it for much much later. A stroked motor's not really necassary for me... but it's something I've always thought of.

I'm indesicive if you couldn't tell

This is my car, it was done by Regency and I believe it is lowered 2"s and it has the low valence stuff... you dont want too much nose down but my car has a little, if you like the way it looks call Regency and ask them what they use...

Dont go side exhuast, it might not look quite right and the cut outs in the rear bumper will look stoopid...

For mods, I would say go ahead and get the 4.10 rear...
C&L intake is the best intake out there for 05+ mustangs but it needs a tuner with it.... if you have big plans for your car, hold off on the bolt ons until you are sure of what you want so you dont end up losing money... by the way, I have learned cams are not worth the money on these cars unless you really love the sound...

sure that's a really cheap stroker kit...but are you going to put it in? If not it will cost you big time. I wouldn't do the assembly until dead last. The stock one is more than enough for now and the benefits will be greater if you have other mods done first. Go with cams and a valve train though. Maybe instead of the stroker go with CNC heads. The combo yields GREAT power.

If your interested in the side exhaust, Cervini has a nice side exhaust kit ( it comes from the C-500 kit ). But they sell a kit that includes the side pipes, sideskirts with precut holes for the pipes, and a skirt for the back bump to cover the OEM holes... I think is right around $1,400 for the kit. I prob. missed something thats included but you get the idea... Emay has the kit on his car if you want to see it...

I have an '06 vert. with auto.
I ordered the cervini side exhaust kit but I sent it back because it sits too low to the ground, will get ripped off by first speed bump and the install instr's say you will never be able to put car on standard lift [gotta lift the wheels/ axles].
Not only is AAA and my local shop not equipped but, I was afraid that the first negative G manuever [lots of hill-hops around my area] might rip the exhaust off at high speed when the axles drops/ body lifts.
I went with magnaflow X-pipe and cat backs, the straight-through type mufflers, love the sound, except before the X-pipe it had a nasty drone.
Also got Vortech SC with cooler, 4:10's, shaker, comp cams, ported heads, hi stall TC, predator, etc.
Did all myself except cams, heads and TC.
Biggest pain with SC was the fuel pump, tough fit.
Dyno says 429rwhp, that was before heads & cams.
Best time 13.09sec @ 109.9mph at 3,000' elevation.
I am all over the track, not hookin' up.
Suspension is still stock, running out of budget and not sure what I want. Looking forward to hearing about your suspension changes. I kinda like the nose-down look. I want everything, looks, ride, corner-grip, launch-grip, stability.

I have seen a few at car shows with the side exhaust package from cervini and it seems to have decent groud clearance, and most those car were lowered... I guess I will have to look more closely next time... You know that there are two versions of that kit, right? one for the verts and another for the coupes... I dont know if your cervini dealer told you about that or not...

I am not sure what suspension Regency used on the car, it would be best to call Regency in Texas to find out what they used to do it...

I would imagine that the body kit sits pritty low. On the cervini website the front sits 5" from the ground on a non lowered car. drop the car 2" and you are a snow plow. If I were you, maybe look at the center exhaust that Street Scene provides. I think thats a clean look.

I always say, "Anyone can buy the complete kit, but the man that stands out, is original"

I go on ebaymotors everyday to see what people have done differently to their cars....pritty neat!

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX....GOOD LUCK!
