Cut Outs...

I am beginning to wonder if buying a pair of cutouts for my GT would be nice to really make it scream when I am in the mood...

Anybody have them? I heard one guy on another forum say his mid to high range power improved...

I think with the dumps it will sound a bit harsh. I had the cervini side exhaust, basically a dump or cut out, and with the stock exhaust manifolds it sounded raspy and harsh. I really didn't like the sound at all.

Once I put the kooks long tubes on, I fell in love with the cars sound..

I bumped into a 95 camaro a few days ago with electric dumps on his. Simply pressing a button opened or closed the cut outs and it was pretty cool hearing the difference without having to crawl under and uncap.

Make sure to get em before the cats. It's not to loud after the cats on most cars.

I don't know much about cutouts, but what's the claim on the HP gains? It seems the simple ergonomics of the exhaust pipe with extra bends would be worse...

I have the electronic dumps on my 383 stroker Vette. They work great as long as you take care of them. You need to be carefull with speed bumps especially if you are lowered. What is nice about the electronic dumps over the manual is you can control how wide you want them open inwhich changes the sound. You can go from a fraction of a inch to wide open. here is where I got mine.

GT - I'm pretty sure Eleanor as the name itself has about 5 spellings. I had a girl in a college course of mine back in the day who spelled it Elinor, recently fired an employee of mine who spelled it Eleanour. Howver to explain mine, Illinois September 11th America Remembers specialty plates only carry 6 letters. For me there were two choices, ELENOR or ELANOR. The double E's looked better on the plate. Since that's how I had to spell it on the plate, it transfers into everything else (signatures, email, posts) just for association purposes.

Pretty funny that had to be pointed out though.

Nameless - I'm working the angle on magazine articles, movies are probably out of my league.
