Swapping out the gears!explorer 3.73?. <help please

So i used to have 3.73s in my mustang, but decided to bump them up to 4.10s. The 4.10s are great...at first.. and now its almost annoying how short the gears are. I am wanting to switch back to 3.73s now and the people installing them have a few sets of lightly used 3.73 gears from the explorer. Would i have any problems with these as far as fitment?would it be worth to spend an extra 80 bucks for new ones from ford racing? Trying to weigh my pros and cons. i did the seach bar and saw that they have different spline numbers? what does this mean?Thank you

i'd say spend the extra on new gears. you can think about it being an extra 80 bucks now, but it could end up being an extra 500 later when your used gears cause you to do it all over again

What about it is annoying? Too much wheelspin? Shifting too soon?

Like what specifically is bothering you?
