problems plz help

alright my reverse i think is going out every time I start the car push the clutch in and try to go in reverse it grinds really bad any one else have this problem pleaSe help.

Did you try to put it in first gear, then reverse, to line up the synchros? Maybe a temporary fix to a permanent problem, but it seems to work...'specially if you don't have a lot of miles on the tranny...I hate to think that your synchros are shot already...let me know if it helps!

could this be my clutch or the whole tranny or what im taking it to the dealer soon hopefully they will actually fix it

hell a '07 Cobra tranny already shot?!?....if thats the case then that sucks but i had to do what Grabber said..line up the synchros to get in R gear....but yeah i dont know what to say but that it can either be your clutch, synchro, or something worse which i hope thats not the case for you. GL on the diagnosis bro and give us a heads up on what ford tells ya

If he doesn't have problems shifting into other gears, then the cluth is definitely not the problem. IF the synchros are bad, you should still be able to get it into reverse by putting it in 1st gear, then putting it in reverse. You shouldn't be rolling while trying to put it in reverse anyways, so like I said, even if the synchro is laying in pieces in the bottom of the tranny, it'll still go into gear. Do you have an aftermarket shifter?

the ford dealer says the pulled the whole trans it took a day and said that the clucth is non sycoronized and may need to have this done occassionally so they didnt fix it . I know I sholdnt have to sycn everytime I use reverse. Im taking it back friday and are they wrong on the sychro clucth because im pretty sure my car had help would be nice.
