2007 GT stock pipes are P'sOS

Okay, so Im climbing under my 07 GT for its first oil change @ 5K miles. I have my new oil filter and 6 Quarts of Castrol Full synthetic ready to go. I was pretty pissed at what I saw for exhaust; rust, rust and more rust. The hangers (u bolts) and anywhere the pipes meet with other pipes was a rusty mess. 5K on my stang and the pipes look like that ??? WTF. I want a replacement quick. help me out with a full setup from headers all the way back. I want the stuff made of pure whatever that wont rust. Please help @!
OH, and thanks FORD for putting 400 foot lbs of torque on the oil filter. I really liked the fact that I had to go buy a giant wrench and puncture the factory oil filter and get oil all over my god-damn self to remove it !

If you are going with headers, I would go longtubes, if you go longtubes then I believe JBA is the best, axleback is your choice because most of them are good quality

The headers are good. From there to the ass end is what I want. And, I want it made of something that will NOT rust. Even the u bolts and nuts

Bassani x pipe and axle back sounds great and is all stainless steel. all that rust is just surface rust it wont hurt anything. but go with somebody else for headers cause bassani headers are mild steel and will eventually rust.

cool. Now i know why my pal always bitches(house of mufflers) about the only way to remove a factory system is with a cutting wheel. Too bad the u-bolts and hangars are not made of a non rusting material.

I reccomend the full SLP set up. SLP long tube headers, x-pipe w/ cats or off road pipes, and the SLP axel back exhaust. For one who hates the stock mufflers so much, the SLP loudmouth axel back kit is more of a muffler delete kit and it's emissions legal in all 50 states. I dunno about MAC. I've heard that they're great for the price but if you're going by price it's 1/2 of everything else so I wouldn't expect them to be as good at Bassani or SLP. Check it out at www.rpmoutlet.com

Remember it's not just sound to think about. Make sure you go with a header that has the biggest collectors and primaries. ( 3"1 and 3/4" respectively).

i know the only thing on my car right now exhaust wise is catted X and ABs. ill worry about headers when the time comes. but you have to agree that sound plays a big part in your choice.
