Noob says "What's up from the South Bay Area"

Hey guys, after spending the last couple days looking through the first 60+PAGES of this forum I have to give a big "thanks" to all the people who've taken the time to inform and encourage the noobs such as myself. The overall tone of this forum is really tolerant and non-elitist, which is refreshing.

So... I've owned my GT/CS convertible for a month and I've already been inspired to start modding it!

I got the SCT Livewire + tunes first, which made a huge difference up front. The JLT CAI will be in my greedy little hands on Monday [already have the tunes ready to download], can't wait to install it.

I also decided on the FRPP/Borla axleback after much review on this forum [just ordered online a few minutes ago]. I'm very glad I read through all the pages, as I now know not to expect any HP gains from this mod - I just want that deep rumble. I almost went for the Corsa b/c I was concerned about cabin resonance, but then I was like, WTF, I want to hear it!!

I definitely won't "fear the gear," which will likely be my next mod, assuming I can find a good local garage that won't rip me off - anyone know of any in the San Jose / South Bay area? There's got to be plenty...

I'm not a gear-head by nature, more of a computer guy, so I'm going with the bolt-ons that should be easiest for me to do personally, and learn a few things about my car along the way. Reading these forums have definitely empowered me to jump into the modding world, and I'm totally hooked!

Anyways, sorry for the long post, just wanted to say "thanks" and you'll be seeing me here in the future

Welcome to the site. Seems you’re off to a good start with the SCTxcal2 and JLT. Just remember to keep all your old parts.
