poor throttle responce on 4.0

does anyone know what would cause slow throttle response on my 05 mustang v6? there is a 2 second delay before the throttle responds. i have had it to the dealer twice and they say there is nothing wrong. i have driven many other mustangs and they do not have this delay

yes it is an auto. from a dead start it runs great but if you are already moving and want to pass someone or accelerate quickly when you push on the gas peddle it just sits there for about 2 seconds at the same speed i have rented other mustangs and when you push on the gas they go

with the new mustangs, there is no throttle cord anymore. the Throttle body and all its components are electronic the system is called drive by wire.

the biggest issue, is the factory tune. I kid you not, it is terrible when it comes to throttle response. a solution to what people have done to gain that throttle response back, is a CAI and a custom tune. def wakes up the car and gets rid of that dredded throttle lag. well worth the investment.

of course Ford is going to say nothings wrong, they just go by the Ford Factory tune parameters and say everything is ok, and wont change a damn thing.

hey man, do a high flow mid pipe and some axel or catbacks and get a good Cold air intake (CAI) kit and get a bamachips tune.. Car will gain 15hp easy its a great hop up kit and will make ur problems dissapear, and give you better gas mileage (noticeably 2-3mpg) AND make your car sound like SEXXXXXXX

+1 the change is very noticeable with a new tune...i especially found the torque tunes to be more responsive.
