SCT Predator or SCT Livewire
What is the difference and if i got one with a custom tune would it work good with 2006 K&N CAI?

the predator is a different company. they are both great tuners. yes both would work for your car and I would advice that you see what program your local dyno tuners have before purching. good luck

The advantage of the Livewire over the basic SCT is the datalogging screen. The tuning of the 2 is the same.

I just got off the phone with my dyno tuner and he said that he has more mustangs with SCT in them go into fail safe mode. He has never had a predator tuner make a stang go into fail safe yet...thats just his opinion though. he dynos 2 to 3 mustangs a day.

I think its the presonal preference of the dyno tuner. some like one some like the other mainly cuz they are more familiar with the software.....I use diablo in my diesel tuner so thats why I went with diablo in my gt, cuz I already know how to download upgrades....and I have a man on the inside at diablo sport in Florida.

Most shops I know reccomend SCT.

Get the Xcalibrator 2 The livewire is nice and all but there are still issues with it, I would wait until they get a few revisions in before getting one. |
