For me they are not worth the bucks... expensive, expensive to install, and gotta have it tuned and you get maybe 30rwhp... but you do get a killer sound!

I would go with other bolt ons or save up for a poweradder (blower, turbo, nitrous) A guy that works for the tuner I am using has an 06 GT with bolt ons making 350rwhp :wink

580 bucks for cams....dunno how much to install but for 30 rwhp. A CAI and tuner only gives around that for 800 give or take so....I don't think its that far out of whack price wise anyway.

Mustang matt if you can install cams yourself you are amazing (im sure you can) but man for newbies (mechanical newbie) like myself, cams are a BIOTCH of a job.... I researched and researched and researched and still cant quite build the confidence to pull apart my baby. However I did just help my buddy on his rumblebee cam install and it is a definite plus to have badass cams. I wish I wish I wish somebody would show me how to do mine. To have them installed in san antonio it is 1300 dooooooollllarrrsss (cheapest I can find)!!!! So Im still researching.....

You will still need to find a very good tuner after you install the cams... yea cams are easier to install on mod motors but still high on the difficulty scale, you also need to get springs with anything over stage 1 I believe to be safe... So in theory $500-1000 for cams and springs, $400-600 for custom tune, $600-1,200 for install, your looking at over 2 grand to have it done right! also, if you do go cams, port&polish your heads or buy aftermarket ones to maximize results

Don't you guys believe that a open intake "cai"and a open exchust "longtube headers and xpipe", combined with a stage 2 or 3 cam is a great combination? I believe that will give you the greatest efficiencies for this combination . I'm going to go with this combination in anticapation of getting a supercharger. so I will be running this tell I get the money.
The thought of haveing my valves open wider and longer with free flow or pressured is the most bang for the buck!
It's just what I 'm thinking[/i]
