Optional 18" wheel info.

Are the polished wheels lacquered and what tires come with the 18" rims. Are the 18" rims wider or the same width as the 17s.

The 17's come with P235/55-17 with Pirelli (a better tire than the 18 in my opinion) Very sticky

tdog do your pirellis tends to have like 50 little stones in the tread at all times? oh and i like the pirellis too, but i think ford shouldve put a 235/45 tire instead of a 235/55.

Yes, and yes. I get the rocks. Ford really should have put a wider tire.. though you talk of a lower profile. I would have liked to have seen maybe a 255/45.
Rocks aside though...the Pirelli tire is just super. Those stock little tires are amazing. I changed for wider tires at the track for a better grip and wanted those back on

you're right the set up should've been 245/45-17 front and 275/40-17 in the rear. i think if i get new wheels or if i need new tires before then im gonna go with the BFG KDW2 in 235/45-17 that way i dont have to reprogram the speedo (dont have a tuner yet).

stock 17 x 8

stock 18 x 8.5

manufactures rarely set up the cars with larger rear wheels.... some do.. most do not....

Hey, stkjock? Which beach was that picture taken at? Looks like OBX...

Speaking of tires, redfire, the 255/50R17 is almost identical to the stock Pirellis in terms of height. Your speedo would be unaffected.

Happy 4th to all!
