I was thinking about replacing the amber front signal lense with a clear lense and replacing the red rear side marker lense with a clear one. I think the "clear look" suits a black car.

I'm having a problem finding bulbs for the clear lenses. I've purchased Sylvania Silverstar bulbs for my headlights and fog lights so I looked to Sylvania for a signal light bulb that is amber. They have a signal light bulb for the car, but it's clear. The bulb needed is a 3157 - Amber. With a clear rear side marker lense, I'd need a red bulb - or some other color. Ford calls this bulb a W5W and Sylvania call it a 2825. Trouble is, they only have clear.

Has anyone out there solved the colored bulb problem for their clear lenses?

I think most people go with a stealth bulb. They blend in until you turn them on, then they are yellow. google stealthbulbs. c o m
for the front. However I have no idea what they do for the rears.

Replacement LED bulbs are the only thing I have found.

sylvania silverstars have a chromish bulb that blends fairly well, and then when you hit the lights, it amber.

The reason they make the clear ones is that everyone with clear sides didn't want an orange glassed bulb...
No one wanted the "egg yolk look" :/
