i know smart ass. heres an example, you forget a bag in your trunk and you go out to get it and opps you forgot your keys. instead of just opening the car and hitting the button you gotta go back in the house and grab the keys. like i said its a PITA.

its a real pain

once, i was setting my subs in my trunk and left my keys near the very outside. I closed the trunk and realized my keys were in the trunk, had to crawl through the back and get around a huge ass box that contained 2 10 inch subs ( yea, it was very big)

wasnt very easy since im a pretty big guy lol

At least your backseats fold down. They dont on the verts ( for the top storage when its down and drug running when it up ). So if i dont have my keys, I dont get into the trunk...

I'm going to chime in here too. Major oversight not adding a button or something inside the car for the trunk release. I like having it on the key chain, no doubt, but for convenience and emergency sake, there should be something in the car.

Imagine no door lock button or window buttons? Is that coming for '08? LOL

Don't shoot the messenger here, but...When I bought my vert in 06, I asked the salesman the same WTF question. He said it was for security. With a vert, you'd put your valuables in the trunk because someone could easily slice the top and snatch your stuff. It sort of makes sense, I suppose. Again, just regurgitating what I heard and sort of agree with. Maybe a lockable center console with trunk release would appease everyone. Or, have a second remote at home. Hell, when you screw yourself and lock the keys in the car, call home. I heard of a trick where you could call someone with a spare set of keys, hold the phone close to your car and have them unlock the doors with the spare remote! Urban legend? Hmmmmm.........never tried it.

Thats intresting about unlocking the doors over the phone. I cant imagine that working but that would be helpful if the situation arrises.

Security issue huh? how about this, they could have put it where it is on every other stang, and put a lock on the glove compartment like every other stang, and it would be just as secure and efficient as every other stang.

As for the phone and the door locks... go ahead and classify it under the deal with pop rocks and soda pop. At least I couldnt get it to work for me.
