Getting new wheels, but need some answers first.

I have a 2007 v6, and im about to purchase new wheels. From what i hear, the new mustangs have a tpms sensor inside the wheels, is it possible to get rid of the warning light? also, does upgrading to a bigger wheel size mess with the speedo? How do i fix this?

Thanks

I dont think it is standard, but an option. So you may not even have it. If you do though, you need to purchase bands that are for bigger wheels and have them installed when you have your wheels/tires mouned.

TPMS sensors are standard on 07 Mustangs. There is no known way to defeat the warning system, and it'll drive you crazy if you install new wheels with no sensors. The sensors are held in carriers by bands that strap around the wheel. The bands are size-specific and cannot be re-used once removed. When installing new wheels you must buy size-specific bands (i.e., an 18" band for an 18" wheel). Remove the sensor/carrier from the stock wheels and use the new bands to attach them to the new wheels. Ford will charge you about $60 each for the bands but you can buy from aftermarket sources for as low as $19.95 each. After the new wheels are in place you'll get a warning light that will go out after 3-4 miles.

the bigger wheels will throw the speedo off. you can fix it with a handheld tuner.

ntb can do the bands, but not the speedo. Your speedo wont be off if you buy the right size tires. ex. the stock tires are 235 55 17's, if you got 255 35 20's than the ratio would be exatly the same and your speedo would still read correctly.

My car has been dropped 2"s and has 20x10 Foose Nitrous wheels.

Pics.

If you want your car to turn heads, this is it. When I am out driving my car it is like Jessica Simpson at a goat farm, you stand out!

I get some many freakin people taking pictures of me and aksing about my car it almost makes me mad. My dad had a awesome porsche turbo and it didn't get the looks this car does. The wheels make about 60% of the look.

I dont think it would look dumb, I have a really hard time with speed bumps and pulling out of parking lots that have inclines/declines with my front bumper, also have a bunch of bassani turbo pipes hanging down underneath that I got to be really careful with

Google mustang with 20's a find one that isn't lowered with 20's

I also thing the mustang style bullit wheels with deep dish look really sexy! And are a 1/4th of the price of these Foose wheels

yes, they are 1/4 the price, but they're also 1/4 the sexyness.

thanks for the help. where'd you get the tmps bands transfered? and how did you recalibrate the speedo? handheld tuner? and is it possible to have a speed shop recalibrate it for me?
