Windows Module Question.........?

Hey 2005+ guys.... here's a question to you experts out there from some of us '99-'04 guys.

We've been talking about a one-touch window module available from Web Electric Products (they have some good stuff on there for you guys too, i.e. suquential taillights, etc.).

http://www.webelectricproducts.com

A question was posed about a feature that you guys have on the new Mustangs. When you open your door, the window goes down slightly and then back up when you close, I've been told to make a better seal into the door.

Is there a specific module that enables this feature? Ford makes a module that enables the one-touch feature on our passenger side windows. I'm wondering if the module that makes the windows go down slightly on your cars can somehow be wired into ours so that we can have this feature as well.

Any input would be greatly appreciated if any of you Ford techs or resident guru experts know an answer to these questions.

I don't think the extra seal feature would really help on an 04 and back simply due where the glass goes. On the s197's the glass ends up higher then where it would be to the the body over the glass. A one touch switch for the passenger would be great though. I might get one for my 98

A very good point, which pretty much makes my question useless now, haha. I can see why making this mod to the '99-'04's would be pointless. Thanks for the tip.

yeah on the SN95s that modual would be pointless. but the one up/down for the passenger would come in handy.

Hey Gills, how involved was the install on that? And is it 1 touch for both driver and passenger?

It was very easy. It comes with instructions, and all that was involved was taking off the plastic piece that holds the window and door lock switches, cutting three wires to splice into the module, and sticking the module down into the door. Now the passenger window is one-touch on both doors.

What was the specific code? A quick search on Google revealed:

This involves the rear oxygen sensor on the driver's side. This code indicates the engine air fuel ratio is not being adjusted by the oxygen sensor signal or the ECM as expected to do so, or not adjusted as often as expected to do so once the engine is warmed or under normal engine use.

Causes: A code P0139 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

The oxygen sensor is faulty
The wiring to the sensor is broken / frayed
There is an exhaust leak

Possible Solutions: The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.

If the code comes back, the problem is more than likely the rear driver's side oxygen sensor. You will likely wind up replacing it but you should also consider these possible solutions:

Check and fix any exhaust leaks
Check for wiring problems (shorted, frayed wires)
Check the frequency and amplitude of the oxygen sensor (advanced)
Check for a deteriorating / contaminated oxygen sensor, replace if necessary
Check for inlet air leaks
Check the MAF sensor for proper operation
