I'm pretty sure you need to adjust the rev limiter under the optional parameters menu as these are not changed in most custom tunes.

True, there's lots of info about what your asking on the SCT site for starters.
Your question seems odd, sounded a bit like you were wondering which tune was in use in the car, by that statement I'll re-itterate tha only one tune is placed in the car at a time. The SCT holds them all and you pick which one to run. You don't store them all inside the car computer. Again your question sounded funny. You know the tune installed successfully when the SCT prompts you with "turn key to off position" likely shortly after your car goes through several beeps and dummy light flickering during the install. Once you see that promt, you successfully loaded the tune. When you go back in to insert a different one, you just pick the new one in the SCT you want, and follow the prompts, you don't have to un-install, it just overwrites each time. You can't plug in and see what's currently installed (like read the cars computer), it doesn't work that way. Lastly, only you would know what you needed changed in optional parameters, this is because you know your mods, but also because those parameters are for customizing to your liking. For example and optional parameter is there for disabling traction control, I have that hard coded to all my tunes so it never can be on anymore unless I insert my stock calibration. Some people wouldn't like that. Rev limiter can be put where you want based on how protective you want to be of over-reving the car. That's a personal choice type thing.. Most of those parameters are. Hope all this helps.. |
