Hey. Can you tell me about your traction issues? If you've read my post about the BS Whipple install I had done, you'd know why I'm asking. You see, I can stand on it at a slight roll and not break the tires free (traction control off). I get a little scratch out of secind gear and next to never in third. While I could produce the same thing without my Whipple, there is definitely more power since the install (still fighting to get it tuned right), but I'm beginning to wonder if they are BS'ing me about the actual Dyno numbers.

Please describe to me how losing traction is for you. Do you stand on it all the time, or can you break them free at will?

Definitally cant break the tires free at will. from about 45 on up it jus goes when I mat it. But just about anything below there I can drop the clutch and kick it slideways, then ride it down the street as crooked as a cop ( no offense to the outstanding officers of the law that are here on this site, most of you that I have spoken with are great guys, unlike some local yahoos I have met with ). I dont really know what else you want to hear. I dont have much expierence with whipples, I do with Kenne Bells though ( which is the only roots type expiernce I have ) which I know are meaner than hell. I would think that you should be able to break the tires loose much easier than me since you have "instant" boost. compared to mine, which kindof rubberbands into it. I definitally would have your tune checked out agian. A custom tune is my next step, considering Im running Bamas tune still, which has been adequate, but I want more. Let me know what else I can do to help you out. Would be more than happy to.

1FastFox, thanks. you are confirming my suspicions.

06RedfireGT, I have a new shop scheduled to look at it Monday and will be dropping it off Saturday. I've also bitched to my crappy shop for all my tuning money to be refunded. We'll see.

It's not that I want to spin them all the time--just when I feel like it and it seems as if something's not happening that should.

Enough thread jacking....sorry.

Thanks!

Man, if I documented all the stuff that they broke, didn't do right, screwed up, etc, you'd probably fly out here and kick their ass for me. It is rediculous. I should make a list of things they did, post it and title it: "If you have any one of these items happen to you at a shop, leave immediately."

I think I'd be too sad to expend all that brain power. Needless to say, it's a lot. My recent problems were the driveshaft safety loop bouncing around and hitting my driveshaft tunnel whenever I'd accelerate. Oh, then there's the cool reinstallation of my front bumper. I tore a small section off the bottom passenger side by clipping it on a curb while backing out of my parking space a couple of days ago. How, might you ask since I've parked in the same spot for years? Well, let me tell you how. When the shop who put in the intercooler fails to reinstall the bolts that hold the bumper to the black shroud under the car by the bumper, it eventually comes lose and hangs down. Pieces hanging down catch on stuff. That was a really cool sound when I heard it.

Still rockin the 3:55s. I have played with everything form 2:73s to 4:11s in my 91, but these I love, they are a nice medium. Good on the interstate and good in the city...
