Transmission kicks down on takeoff.

When I take off hard in my 2006 GT, with the tires spinning, the tranny after it shifts to second, will bog down and then downshift back to first gear. Is anyone else having this happen? The car is modified and putting out around 360 hp with 4:10 gears. It spins the street tires all the way through first gear before shifting into second. I have some drag radials to give better traction, but have not tried them yet. I am hoping that with the slicks, the traction will be much better before the shift to second gear. My best bet right now is shifting the tranny manually, but the shifter is sort of tricky and not real consistent( maybe driver needs more practice). Anyway, I would rather the tranny shifted itself. If you drive an automatic with similar mods, please respond.
