Dude. That really sucks.
I brew my own beer and often dissolve sugars and dark treacles for my Belgian ales. One thing that seems clear is that dissolving the gums and sugars COMPLETELY is the key to restoring your fabric. Makes me think... Our saliva dissolves and washes away gummie bears. Maybe a solution that mimics human saliva applied with a soft bristle toothbrush at >= 99 degrees F alternated with gentle warm solution blotting would slowly but surely dissolve and wash away the mess. Then you could re-enliven the fibres with an oxygen based cleaner. If you are interested, I'll break out the brewing equipment and test the ph of my spit and come up with an easy to re-create solvent solution (fake spit) recipe that would probably work. Out of curiosity, what color are your seats? One last thought. Under NO circumstances should any oil based cleaner be used. This includes citrus based cleaners. I would not risk goo gone either. Those would open up a whole new set of problems. John
