Awesome. Those oxygen based cleaners kick ass.

Great you got it handled but it sorta sucks that it was so simple!

Now repeat after me: "No food in the mustang chumly!".

What ever happened to the Idea of the one who done it replacing the seat. Even if you get the sugar out the stain is going to set. Did you stain gaurd with 3M scotch gaurd, if not I think seat replacement will be in order. You will never get all that sugar out it will colect dirt and look like crap. Sorry dude Don't kick his ass he won't be able to work and pay off his damage.

the reason the oxyclean worked over anything is because gummy bears are made up of Glucose, water, sugar, flavored, and non flavored gelatins. They then mold them in starch molding and apply beeswax to them to make them shiny and less sticky. the problem with beeswax is that it has a tendency to melt very easily (ex. when you hold a gummy bear for too long) Thus causing it to become an ultimate Gummy bear dart when baked for 5 seconds in a microwave. OR causing it to loose its figure and melt into a puddle. But the good thing about the ingredients is that they are all water soluble. You could have just kept applying water via squirt gun and vacummed, eventually sucking up all that reamins. :sleep BUT THE REASON OXYCLEAN WORKS!, is because it is essentially a water based cleaner.

Freezing does not work as well because this allows the beeswax and glucose to reform into a solid along with what ever they are touching. This works on gum because of the lack of BEESwax and the addition of jelutong, sorva, glycerin and other various softners and resins .

so there it is,

sorry i own a candy shop and thought i would chime in.
