they should last the life of the car if everything is installed properly and you have good maintenance.

okay I highly doubt that you have to replace a blower every 10k miles I know for a fact that it's not like that (atleast with jaguars) because my dad owns an xkr and it's super charged and works just fine and so far has lasted over 30k miles

Staying within the tolerences and specs of the blowers per manufacturer, blowers should last the life of a car. Usually problems only arrise when they are over spun, but even then the majority can take a pretty good beating.

Routine maintenance is the key. Oiling, inspecting, belt tension - etc, are all things that should be done to assure a happy blower ownership.

SCs are definitally something you dont need to replace when maintanced properly. I bought a used kenne bell for my 91, I have had it on my car for four years and the guy before that ( a friend of mine ) had it on his car for about an additional 4 years. Both these cars are drag cars so needless to say the SC has seen some abuse but still runs like the day my friend bought it.

I would vote against powerdyne, they build cheap blowers and the power from them are low...

I suggest Whipple, KB, saleen.... 2nd choice would be turbo, 3rd choice would be centri supercharger (procharger or vortech)
