whipple kits are coming with 11 psi. i'm running 9 psi. and the numbers are around the same, as long as you stay around 450-475 rwhp you should be ok

8-10 psi is the MAX you can go on stock internals. my whipple is running 10psi, not 11. Ford Racing goofed in their catalog.

as long as you keep your PSI range between 8-10 and have a GOOD conservative tune, you will be golden, and not have to worry about engine internal failure with a blower.

Whipple kit is a great kit too (best bang for the buck on the market), I highly recommend it over KB. KB is a good kit too, but much much more involved than the Whipple.

Define "goofed"? My Whipple is enroute from California and due any day now - it comes with a tuning-for-dummies pre-programmed tune...I was planning to take it in after I installed it to Dyno it and tweak it but am curious what you mean with respect to "goofed"??

goofed- meaning messed up. they dont give you an 11psi pulley, its a 10 psi pulley, and its 475HP, not 500HP as they claim in the catalog.

I have an 05 Saleen with a KB charger, headers, xpipe, stage 3 clutch, aluminum driveline. I am only running a 10 pound boost pulley. I bought it that way. It dynos at 510hp rear wheels. I noticed you are running over 625hp at rear wheels on 23 pounds of boost. Is your motor stock internally? You also say this is a daily driver. Are you running Nitrous? I am considering a plate kit for mine??? Should I just run a smaller boost pulley to get the extra power? Thanks.

You dug up a REAL old thread here..... His car isn't a daily driver, has far from stock internals and is not running nitrous.

Also, he is in the middle of doing a turbo setup now as he basically maxed his KB setup.

Not gonna get into he-said-she-said here. Have you put the whipple on the dyno? I have read reports that their 10psi pulley generates 11 psi. A name brand tuner told me that (in reference to all the slamming Edelbrock gets for running 8-11.5psi on the pulley they call their 8psi pulley).
