About installing gears...of course 4.10's!

Is this really something a shop has to do? I have the gears and the replacement kit, ie bearings and gasket and such. Do I need a degree ( ) or extensive experience to do this? Could I do this on a set of ramps? For the love of god I want to get at least one of my 3 new mods on before winter!!!!!!! Thanks guys.

I did my 4.10's on jack stands.

If you have a mic to measure clearances for shimming, and you understand the importance of pinion depth and backlash, then sure you can do the install. Not properly doing this install will net you a set of noise azz gears though.

I do mostly everything to my car, but gears I don't even consider.

Yeah, there's a local shop my friends and I all go to and we all do the work for free except parts. The guy that runs it i'm sure will know what's up hopefully seeing as how he builds half his shit from scratch. Ha, the lesser experienced guys like me just try to get our hands dirty and ask a lot of questions
