Anyone have SLP Loudmouths?

Hey gang, just wondering if anyone has SLP Loudmouths on their GT and how you like em. I've got flowmasters and I like em, but I'd like to have something a little louder. I've got an ad in the classifieds to do an even swap but just wondering what an owner actually thinks about them....

had them on mine, they have an awesome sound and definitely will be louder than flowmasters, now have quiet magnaflows with 3 inch cat back and i can think again while driving

haha sweeeeet! That's what I want...people always complain about the dreaded 'drone' and my Flowmasters will drone at low RPM's and I actually like it! I don't like to talk on my cell phone while driving, I don't listen to the radio much, and I sure as hell don't have a conversation while driving. I drive to DRIVE!

On my Flowmasters, when I let off of the gas a certain RPM's it'll make this "burbble" sound...I don't quite know how to describe it. Like a "blub blub blub" ? Do the SLP's do that? cause I love it! Anyways...[/end drunken rant]

Put longtube headers and an offroad x-pipe on and then tell me if its not loud enough for you. Here are some clips of my car with Flowmasters and L/T's.

Sure, you know someone willing to trade a set of longtube headers and an offroad x-pipe for a pair of used Flowmasters? Cause if you do, I'd be willing....

I meant use them in conjunction with your flowmasters. You say you like the burble of the the Flowmaters, well thats a sound that a chambered muffler like them will make, a resonator like SLP's isnt goin to. Those exhaust clips are of flowmasters with L/T's

I have SLP loud mouths on my GT as well and honestly, it adds the balls to the car. I've had many of my friends (and their dads) say that it makes the car sound mean and very much like a muscle car. I HIGHLY recommend them especially if you want to have to talk over your exhaust. There's hardly a time that I can't hear my exhaust and when you floor it, it sounds AWESOME! Go with them, you'll love it

I have them and they are great. At crusing speed they realy aren't that bad. Quite honestly I think that they are quieter than stock at certain RPM'S. There is a little drone around 1800 to 2000 depending on your gearing. But when you punch it look out. They will hear you comming a few blocks away. Also if you plan on racing, some tracks will not allow them because they are too loud. Just a FYI.

Ok, so last night I decided to take off my Flowmasters just to see what straight pipes would sound like, but in the process, I snapped off one of the bolts on the clamps.

Well it was late so I didn't try to get another clamp and it turns out that I REALLY like the sound without any mufflers at all...so I'm prolly gonna get me some SLP's REALLY soon. But am I hurting my car any by leaving the muffler's off till I actually get my SLP's to put on?
