Eibach spring ?

I am going to order the Eibach Pro spring kit for my ride, and I was wondering how hard it is to install these yourself. I am afraid to take my car anywhere to have work done on it, because the last time I took a vehicle in they scratched the piss out of it. And do you need any special tools to get it done ? Thanks

I used some spring compressors for the front, but that's all. I love the Pro-kit. Looks amazing and handling is a little tighter. Took about 2 hours for all 4 corners and I was just messin around most of the time.

You don't have to have a spring compressor, but I would recommen one. To do it w/o a spring compressor you put a floor jack under the front lower control arm and loosen all the bolts, then let the jack down and it will take the tension out of the spring.

the ball joint has nothing to do with the installation of lowering springs. And to what you said about using the jack to decompress the spring, that isn't as crazy as you think. I saw the guys on Trucks (on Spike TV) use that method, and Gunny used it to install his.
