Dyno-ing?

hey guys, i've never had my car dynoed before. how much does it usually cost to do so?

Three pulls is around $75.

Now if you get it tuned, your looking a t $500+

I've seen them at carshows doing it for 100 bucks. At a good shop, including a tune, it's going to set you back a few hundred bucks, depending how involved you get.

if i buy a tuner and have doug from bama tune it do i need the dyno guy to tune it? i suppose you need to have it tuned realistically on the dyno right?

No, you don't need a dyno guy to tune it. Doug will ship you 3 tunes based on your car specs, the octane you wish to run, and the mods to your car. He's good shit man. I love that guy in a non-faggot way. lol

You could also call Long Island Performance. I'm not sure if they have their own dyno, or just have access to one. I'm sure they could steer you in the right direction though.

That I don't know as I've never had one done. It depends a lot on what you mean, if you're talking about having it tuned & dialed in, then it will change a fair bit as they adjust things. If you're talking about just a 3 run pass to see what your car will do without adjustments, if they know what they're doing it shouldn't change that much.

Hopefully all the guys here who have had dyno experience will pass along more info.
