spending money!

I've read a lot on this forum about the upgrades to do to these s-197's, but now that i have money i can't decide what to do. My 07's stang is completly stock. Right now i'm thinking CAI, Tuner, and making it louder. What's the best combo to do. My thoughts were bamachips jlt with xc tuner and slp loudmouths. Would i benifit from an o/r h pipe?

I've heard that the c&l cai was better, but didn't think it was worth the extra $150. Would i be ok with the jlt and xcaliber, or would it be worth the extra money for the c&l?

also is xcaliber better or the other tuner to choose from?

but in all seriousness, most CAIs are pretty uch the same whether you buy them from ebay or buy a name brand, athough i have heard JLT does stand out from the rest.

no o/r h with the LMs. it will sound like ass. I say either Bassani ABs and X pipe, and LT heders or Stingers, o/r prochamber, and LT headers. Then CAI/Tuner, UDPs, 4.10 gears, delete plates. that will be about 320 rwhp.

in all honesty, i'm looking to spend about $999. What's the best upgrades to buy? I'm planning on FI later so i am happy with my gears and i don't want headers right now. everything else is up for modding though.

well if you are going to supercharge it then why not make your car ready for the supercharger? For a blower you will need a TUNER for sure and you may want an aluminum one piece driveshaft. Also longtube headers help pertty good especially if you put a blower on!

You may want some wider aftermarket wheels so you can fit wider rubber for more traction... This is just what I would do though.

If you do the intake/tuner route I would suggest a custom dyno tune instead of a "in the box" tune from bama. You will get more HP for sure but may be a little more $

The JLT is a little cheaper and, according to MMFF magazine's review, also better. Go with the combo from Bamachips with the SCT X-CAL. For exhaust the o/r h will help you some, Pypes makes a nice 1 for under 200. for axlebacks the FRPP/Borla Stingers sound great and flow great.

I say spend about $1200 and get the intake/tuner and either Bassani or Borla axle backs.
