what's the differnt of dynoing in a manual in 3er and 4th gear?

If its a 5 speed they use 4th gear, thats why its tough for an auto because you have to feather the gas to keep it in the right gear.

4th gear in a manual car is a 1:1 ratio from engine to rear end, meaning the rear tires will be spinning close to what the rpm's on the motor is, in an automatic the 3rd gear is the 1:1 ratio

you won't read more hp, you would read the actual hp your car makes with driveline loss, if you dyno in 3rd with a manual you could see higher numbers because it isn't 1:1 you will have a multiplication through the transmission, but it isn't a true hp reading
