Ford has to honor your warranty if shit breaks. they don't have to honor your warranty if they can prove that the shit that broke was caused by a mod.

the answer to your question is simple.

No mods WILL void your warranty, UNLESS, the repair or fix is caused by the part that is to blame.

In other words, if you put a s/c on the car and the alternator stops working, ford cant say "oh you have a s/c, we're voiding your warranty." that is by federal law INCORRECT. the dealer must PROVE (facts, evidence, repair orders, tech sheets, etc.) that the s/c was the cause of the alternator going.

so mod away.....

Realize that a dealer can do anything they please. If they unlawfully refuse warranty repairs, then the law can only help you if you take them to court.

The safest way to go would be go over planned mods with the dealer and ask what if any warranty concerns there will be. Most of the stuff I have discussed with my dealer such as suspension they say as long as it does not disable systems or take things out of spec mods are fine.

It helps to have a very good working relationship with the staff, technicians, mechanics at your dealership.

There's not much original mustang left in my car and the dealership still honors the warranty on remaining parts. Starter was replaced under warranty about one month ago.
